Details about the Stripes’ origins are still sketchy at best. When the duo emerged with their self-titled album on indie label Sympathy For The Record industry in 1999, two years after they first started gigging around their native Detroit, they claimed to be brother and sister, the youngest two siblings in a family of seven children. As their profile grew, rumors began to surface that the pair were actually ex-husband and wife. Whatever the case, Jack and Meg White always dress to impress when rocking to the beats.
The White Stripes feature some recycled Minimates elements, such a Meg’s skirt, which was modified from a Crouching Tiger Minimate. Jack and Meg’s hair (and hat and pigtails), though, are new sculpts, created using MagicSculpt. The faces were drawn first by hand, and then brought into Illustrator for fine-tuning. A digital print completes the face, which was added directly to the Minimate noggin.
