Beast uses a Steve Mongo IV Horseman figure as a base. Or at least’s that’s the starting off point. The forearms and calves are new sculpts, using some hands from a Maximum Sweat figure (thanks Ian!). The feet are heavily reworked from a Street Fighter Sagat figure. The cuffs, mask and even the yellow torso area are all Kneadatite. As with all the others, a push pin serves for the belt buckle and the X-Logo was outputted digitally and applied with matte gel medium.
Beast took awhile to sculpt, but I’m very pleased with the results. It’s interesting how his costume changed maybe 5 times throughout the first issue of the X-men, but this version represents how I always thought of the character.
