Though I really don’t know too much about the character Berserker aside from his appearances on X-Men Evolution, I enjoy his fun character design. Then there is the fact I am a New Mutants fanatic. The decision to make a Berserker custom was a no-brainer.
For the most part, a DC Direct Impulse figure forms the body of Berserker. The surface details were sanded off Impulse to provide a clean surface. The boots and gloves were removed from an X-Evo Cyclops and adjoined to the figure. Spyke donated his head, which I later reworked to be more on-model with Berserker.
The buckle and shoulder symbols were created digitally first, and then printed out on a nice stock of paper. These were then cut to shape using an X-Acto knife and applied using matte gel medium.
