I have to thank my friend Anubis8 for helping inspire me with this custom. Steve (Anubis8) is a longtime Justice Society of America fan, and his JSA-enthusiasm is contagious.
Dr. Mid-Nite began as a Red Tornado action figure. I removed the forearms and replaced them with the gloved arms from a Batman figure. Red Tornado’s head wasn’t quite the right shape, so I replaced that with one from a JLU Atom figure. Clear vinyl was used to expand the tunic and Magic Sculpt was used to help conceal any seams.
Though the animated version of Dr. Mid-Nite has only made a few brief cameos on Justice League Unlimited, there will be hopefully an increased role for him in future episodes.
